Description
The project
Uthan Design Studio reimagined this three-bedroom apartment into a calm, harmonious retreat blending Japandi minimalism with refined urban functionality. The circulation spaces are anchored by slatted timber ceilings, delicate wood-lattice screens, and a graceful arched corridor cutout that frames sightlines into the dining area. In the main lounge, layered concrete-look panels, fluted timber accents, and a custom backlit display niche with arched shelving infuse architectural character while preserving open floor space.
The private quarters prioritize compact living ergonomics without sacrificing elegance. Dressed in soft lilac, blush, and earthy tones, the bedrooms feature seamless floor-to-ceiling wardrobes, floating study desks, and built-in vanity stations with illuminated capsule mirrors. Through concealed storage, continuous millwork, and warm indirect cove lighting, the design delivers a serene, clutter-free sanctuary for modern family living.

Japandi-Inspired Lattice Zoning: Full-height wooden lattice screens and sliding panels provide subtle visual privacy between the foyer, living lounge, and dining hall while maintaining open light flow.
Arched Hallway Portal: A distinctive arched interior window cutout with a floating timber display ledge turns a standard hallway partition into a layered visual feature.
Sculptural Recessed Display Wall: The living area incorporates an illuminated, multi-compartment wall niche combining geometric grids with soft arches, functioning as both functional shelving and ambient art.
Space-Maximizing Overhead Millwork: The bedrooms utilize vertical space with wall-to-wall overhead cabinets bridged over doorways, vanity desks, and bed frames to deliver maximum storage within a compact footprint.
